Description
As any urban motorist will tell you, city driving is rough on your car’s battery. The constant stop-start driving style, as well as the fact that you’re probably making frequent shorter journeys, means that your battery doesn’t always get back what it puts into starting your engine.
What your city car needs is its own special charger and this comes in the form of the GYS Artic 1500. This clever charger is controlled by a microprocessor and is designed for the 12V batteries on smaller cars, jet-skis, quad bikes and lawnmowers.
Lightweight and very smart
The GYS Artic 1500 weighs just 410g and isn’t much bigger than a school pencil case, so it can be stowed away in your boot or you can simply leave it connected whenever your car’s parked or in your garage for a few days.
When it’s in operation, the GYS 1500 can charge your battery up to twice as fast as a traditional charger and you don’t need to babysit it because it’ll shut off when the battery’s topped up. It’s easy to connect to your battery and is shock, dust and liquid-resistant.
While it works really well as a trickle charger, the GYS Artic 1500 can also recharge dead batteries as long as they have at least 7V in them. It’s a totally safe piece of kit and you can use it even if you don’t know which type of battery you’re dealing with.
The GYS Artic can maintain larger batteries, too
While this charger is designed for 12V batteries from 3-40Ah, it can maintain the charge in batteries of up to 100Ah as long as they were well-charged to begin with.
You really can set and forget the GYS Artic, as it monitors the charge in your vehicle’s battery and only tops up when necessary. If your car or other vehicle is going to be out of action for a few weeks or months, you can simply leave the charger connected and leave it to do its job.
User-friendly
The GYS Artic 1500 has an easy-to-read user interface to make things simple so new drivers and even technophobes can use it with confidence. This charger also looks after the car’s electrics, offering protection against short circuiting and overcharging. It also has a spark prevention system and protection against the poles being reversed by accident, as well as an automatic stand-by mode that takes over if the battery is disconnected.
Having the charge in your battery maintained with almost no effort on your part will help your battery to last for longer and to offer you its best performance.
